2023 promises to be action-packed and full of fun in Norfolk. We’re looking forward to welcoming events back to East Anglia this year as much as anyone!

There's something going on in Norfolk for everyone and it's never too early to start your activity planning for next year. We have four Haven Holiday Parks in and around Great Yarmouth that make a great base when getting involved with events, so we’ve got you covered for accommodation. We've also put together this list of the best events in Norfolk to make things easier for you, so clear your schedule and get booking to make 2023 a year to remember.

Who doesn’t love a good game or two? This Time and Tide exhibition goes through the 40+ year history from Arcade classics to the ZX Spectrum, charting the rise of computer games in the 80s to the present day.  

This a brilliant one for all the family and runs until 20 March 2023, so get down there for a full showcase of gaming throughout the years!

April – Charlie and Chocolate Factory, Norwich Theatre Royal

The classic tale of Charlie Bucket takes to the stage in the heart of Norwich from 20 – 29 April 2023.

The production is part of the first ever UK and Ireland tour of the successful West End and Broadway musical. Take you and the family into a world of imagination with this legendary story!

May - Crab & Lobster Festival 2023, Cromer & Sheringham Norfolk

It's hoped Cromer and Sheringham Crab and Lobster Festival will return in 2023 after a four-year hiatus. It celebrates the world-famous seafood produced by these two Norfolk coastal resorts and attracts more than 20,000 people. The seafood bonanza was recently named as one of the best food festivals in the UK by Condé Nast Traveller. It's hoped the 2023 edition will feature the Scrumptious Seafood Trail, a street market, live music during the day and at night, street performers, and children’s activities. Check back closer to the time for confirmed dates!

June - The Royal Norfolk Show

June - The Royal Norfolk Show

One of the most famous events in Norfolk, The Royal Norfolk Show is returning in 2023 on 28 & 29 June 2023. The UK’s largest two-day country show features 700 trade stands, over 3000 animals and a packed Grand Ring Programme. It is also Norfolk’s biggest food and drink experience, so don’t fill up before you go!

July - Sandringham Flower Show, Sandringham Estate

July - Sandringham Flower Show, Sandringham Estate

One of the most prestigious horticultural events in Norfolk returns on 26 July 2023. The show attracts around 20,000 visitors each year including HRH King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort. View the display gardens which rival any of the major horticultural shows, dine in the large catering marquee and browse the 200 or so trade stands set up around the grounds. A wander around the grounds of Sandringham House, gardens and church is included in the entrance fee. Parking is free of charge and dogs are welcome to join in the fun.

This festival does exactly what it says on the tin. Foodies take note: Earlham Park is the venue for a three-day extravaganza for the family’s tastebuds. With headline acts alongside the food in the evening, this really is a magnificent day out and definitely one to put in the calendar. The festival runs from 8 – 10 September. Jot it down!

October – Norwich Oktoberfest

Norwich’s Epic Studios is home to the biggest Oktoberfest celebration that Norfolk has seen for years. Everything you’d expect from the real thing in Germany is yours here, from Bavarian Beer to iconic Bratwurst. There’s live music from the Bavarian Strollers and a range of Euro-Pop classics. Get ready for a great night on 7 October 2023.

November - Cliff Top Fireworks Display, Hunstanton

November - Cliff Top Fireworks Display, Hunstanton

Hunstanton Cliffs are certainly a dramatic spot to celebrate Guy Fawkes's night. Doors open at 5.00pm on Saturday 4 November 2023 with the fireworks beginning a couple of hours later. Food stalls, a fairground, and children's entertainment will also be available on the night. So, wrap up warm for this amazing bonfire, laser and fireworks spectacle and get ready to be amazed.
